August’s focus is BALANCE!

The majority of people don’t think about balance until they fall. This month we challenge you to do The Flamingo Challenge.

Twice a day, attempt the following exercises for 30 seconds per side. Start with the easiest and see how far you can progress.

1. Stand on one leg with one toe down for support - use an object like a chair for support.

2. Next try to see if you can bring the toe up. Always have a stable surface to grab in case you lose your balance.

3. Lastly try turning your head sideways and up and down while balancing on one foot. Keep your toe down if you need. Again, hover your hand on a stable surface in case you lose balance.
