#33: Heart Health After 55: Strength Over Cardio?
Cardio may not be the best way to keep our hearts strong and healthy if we are 55+!
Recent research suggests that strength training will continue to improve our blood pressure once cardio training has plateaued in benefits! With this in mind, your best bet for improving your heart health is incorporating cardio + strength training!

Repeating 8-12 intervals of 30 seconds work & 30 seconds rest at a hard intensity for you and alternating between aerobic and strength training is a fun and practical way to strengthen your health and support improved function of your whole body!
Over time, you can increase your weights or speed or adjust the intervals to 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest to further challenge yourself and keep the total time the same!
